and it is actually cold....
Not Auckland wet/cold....actual frozen swimming pool cold.
All the plants slow down over the winter all the farm work slows down over winter, there are still some jobs to do, but not many outside working hours to do them in.
The ground is frozen until morning tea time, and the sun is almost gone by afternoon tea time.
We have been spending a lot of the last month inside anyway......
This is "Jo"
He was born last month and is fitting into the family well. Ace is adjusting, slowly.
I cant say that much else has happened:
- I got some crochet projects finished
- The Hubby and I both had birthdays
- We had some out of town visitors for Queens Birthday Weekend. We cooked for 18 people (8 days before I was due to go to hospital)
And we have had some sheep on our front paddock. They were only short term while another farmer fixed his fences. But they were a real delight to have. Except for when most of them escaped and The Hubby and I had to chase them back in again.
At the moment we are just taking each day as it comes and if any jobs get done then that is great. but what we really, really need to get started on is our spring planning.
